Shipping container, water irrigation system or
water-simulating lights, silver paint, soil, plants

A shipping container with silver ‘dragster flames’ painted on the back. Water sprays from ‘bullet holes’ which are scattered along the container wall onto an area of desert plants. References are Gian Lorenzo Bernini‘s fountains (around 1650), Albrecht Dürer‘s drawing

The Large Piece of Turf (1503), and a massacre in November 2001 near Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan, presumably involving US Forces.
