Film Still

It takes on the cinematographic space itself, a movie theater, photographically presented in the form of a Laterna Magica: static, lit from the back, and therefore as a reversal of the nature of classic filmic projection.

In the picture the location of the tale, the essence of the cinematic room seems missing: the screen. Instead the empty blue seats of the auditorium are presented in cinemascope format and illuminated by the strong white light of the film projector which is tilted down to „project“ onto the seats instead of onto the screen.
